Chlorine in the water

Brought to you by:

It is well known that chlorine is very destructive to everything! This is why it works well on organisms; it destroys them! But it does not just stop there. If you have a water softener; it will destroy your resin.  According to Cindy Gresham of Thermax, the general rule is that every one ppm of chlorine shortens the life of water softeners by half. When it’s done with your softener it goes to work on your plumbing. Chlorine is aggressive and leaches lead and copper from the plumbing that it travels through. Elevated copper and lead levels are both a known health risk. Now it gets to your water bearing appliances such as your faucets and fixtures where it destroys the O-rings causing leaks and damages that require repair bills. It even works on other plastics such as toilet flappers that cause toilets to run increasing water bills. Now it finally gets to you and your family, but you say “I don’t drink this water!” Well Thank goodness, you shouldn’t. Chlorine enters the body in more ways than just your drinking water. According to experts, skin absorption is a much bigger risk. Just one 20 min. shower is the equivalent of drinking 8 glasses of water. Not only does skin absorb chlorine, the gas is inhaled and affects the respiratory system. Chlorinated water irritates a person’s eyes, sinuses, throat, skin and lungs. By reducing chemicals in the water, especially chlorine, with a whole house water treatment system from Superior Water. You can provide protection, for the water treatment system, reduce plumbing system failure, lower rates of exposure to various health risks and most importantly, provide the quality of water that you need and want.
